Good Editors Are Hard to Find

Everyone needs an editor. We need them to polish our documents, help us avoid embarrassing mistakes, and make us look our best.

But good editors are hard to find, particularly editors with podcasting knowledge, a marketing bent, technological fluency, experience writing for the web, and a professional, yet easygoing demeanor.

You've stumbled upon just that sort of editor.

Here are a few facts about me:
  • I am experienced: I have 23 years as an education editor, writer, and content developer with a strong background in textbook and academic journal publishing (STM and social sciences).
  • I'm entrepreneurial: I began the 60-Second Civics daily podcast in 2009. It now has more the 4,500 episodes.
  • I am a valuable member of effective teams: I have a demonstrated ability to work effectively with teams of writers, editors, reviewers, designers, artists, and programmers.
  • I have editorial expertise: I have superior mastery of English composition, grammar, punctuation, and usage. I am the master of several different styles, including Chicago, APA, and AP.
  • I'm a skilled marketer and copywriter: I'm proficient at developing compelling marketing copy and corporate communications, including social media campaigns, email blasts, web copy, newsletters, and in-depth web and print articles.
  • I'm enterprising: I conceived, initiated, and executed a website that is now the second-most popular site for my organization.
  • I get things done: I'm a superb project manager.
